JAMES R. NICI, Manager of Nici Law Firm, specializes in the areas of estate planning, administration and taxation. Mr. Nici has more than 20  years of experience, specializing in designing sophisticated estate plans for high net worth families and individuals, capitalizing on the tax advantages of declaring domicile in the state of Florida.

Mr. Nici, a “Top 100 Attorney” by Worth Magazine, is the sole developer of the unique  process called The Strategic Estate Planning System®. The Strategic Estate Planning System® is designed to assist clients in the complex process of organizing highly detailed estate plans by simplifying client’s overall goals through a defined process, delivering not only the legal documents to support a complex plan, but a visual image of the estate plan as well.

Professional Activities

Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates by the Florida Bar Association, Mr. Nici is a member of The Florida Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, as well as a member of the Collier County Bar Association. Mr. Nici is a frequent speaker to both professional and public groups on advanced estate and tax planning techniques, including the IRS’ Final Generation Skipping-Transfer Tax Regulations.

Mr. Nici served as associate editor of the Florida Will and Trust Forms Manual, a two-volume manual published by The Florida Bar Association which assists practitioners with a wide variety of Florida and federal estate planning matters. The Florida Will and Trust Forms Manual holds the distinction of the best selling educational resource in Florida Bar history.

Community Service and Interests

A dedicated father of three, Mr. Nici has given back to the Southwest Florida community by serving on the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, the Immokalee Foundation and Florida Southwestern College (formerly known as Edison State College). Mr. Nici is an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, supporter and former board member of the Florida Trail Association and other outdoor related charitable organizations.

Michelle L. Taylor

Estate Administration Paralegal
Michelle is a probate and tax paralegal with Nici Law Firm. She assists in all aspects of estate and trust administration including the preparation and filing of probate documents, trust accountings, estate and gift tax returns, and fiduciary income tax returns.  She also assists with the preparation of basic estate planning documents and is responsible for the management of irrevocable life insurance trusts.  Michelle understands that losing a loved one is a difficult experience and she is passionate about guiding our clients through this difficult time.  She finds it very fulfilling to be able to simplify and expedite the probate process for the firm’s clients.
Michelle graduated Cum Laude from Hodges University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies and she is a Florida Registered Paralegal and an Advanced Certified Paralegal in Estate Planning. Before coming to the firm in 2003, Michelle worked in restaurant management and has an extensive background in management and customer service.  Michelle and her husband have two children who are both married.  She is also an animal lover and has dogs and cats at home. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and family and she also enjoys training and running agility with her two youngest dogs.
